Jan 2007
Letter approval signed
with the village chief, commune department and
the provincial department of education for
recognition of the school constructions. Very
warmth welcome by the local authorities.
Land for the school field
has been cutting and preparing for the school.
Based on the tradition and
belief of the Kreung people, a sacrifice to the
forest spirit has been made for the land and
forest clearing.
Letter to the forestry
department has approved for the wood
cutting.
30% of wood for
construction has been completed.
20 big trees for
cutting have been identified.
The villagers have
cleared one hectare of land field for the
school.
March 2007

April 2007
Keeping on building
the school as usual.
95 percent of the
woods for the school buildings have been
transported to the building site.
All column basements
were put and measured in the correct level
with each school building.
Two schools/classrooms
among the four were put on stand up and some
constructions for the roof and floor begin.
All roofs needed for
the building have been transported into the
village.
Eighty percent of the
well digging was completed; due to the well
digger got an accident, we will wait until
him gets better.
May 2007
All woods have been
transported to the school building site with
the villagers' help. .
90% of
classroom/schools were ready already.
62 Volunteered Students
visited CHS and supported the La Ork primary
schools with a water tanks and to repair the
toilets.

School fence have been
put to mark the school compound.
2 Playgrounds/ the
swings for kids were built to attract kids
to come.
A community teacher
was recruited to assist on various aspects
of the school activities.
June 2007
55 chairs and tables
completed.
Four classrooms
completed successfully.
Water tanks and
toilets are available for use.
Four chalkboards
completed
School kits and
uniforms for 100 students have been
prepared.
60 kids came to
register, 45 kids from
Tong Kropu and 15 from another village
nearby. More kids to come in September...Please

July
Bags with Angkor Wat
Temple signs have been ordered for 70 kids.
A stock room was built
as an annex for keeping school materials.
School gardens have
been planted with some flowers.
Entrance school sign
titled "Tong Kropu Primary School" was made
as an awareness for the other families in
another village nearby to know that there is
a school exists.
August
A teacher' house near the school entrance is
built to support the teacher living. Budget
is including into the school expenses and
materials remaining from schools building.
A motor is purchased to facilitate the
school arrangement such as meeting with
another village and kids and other things
needed by the school.
One Board for photos displays have been
made.
Safety stockroom under a school is built to
keep machinery and other equipments.
All books and complete materials for studies
for kids and teachers' materials have been
purchased and organized for 100 kids and

teachers.
School committees composed of 5 but
4 members from the village, among this one
is female. The four is selected and agreed
by villagers and the one is Sopheap to
ensure that there is a usefulness of the
committees and total operation of the
external links with villagers to villagers
and to CHS as well as to other related
agents.
